The Service: Managing the logistics, crowd control, and operational needs of every Mass and program. Known for their “first to arrive, last to leave” work ethic, they ensure the smooth running of all SMTC events.
The Volunteers Ministry is the backbone of the SMTC’s physical operations. Taking on the “hard work” that often goes unseen, these dedicated individuals prepare the environment for worship and fellowship. From setting up seating to managing the flow of the congregation during communion, their tireless service allows the rest of the community to focus on prayer and celebration without distraction.
Their work starts long before the Mass begins and ends long after the final blessing. They are responsible for the logistics of every event, ensuring that venues are ready and that every logistical detail—from water to safety—is handled. This ministry requires a high level of coordination and a heart for service, as they often sacrifice their own comfort to ensure others can participate fully in the liturgy.
In times of large celebrations, such as the Annual Feast, the Volunteers Ministry scales up its operations to handle thousands of people. Their presence provides a sense of order and security for the community. They are the quiet guardians of our gatherings, proving that true greatness in the kingdom of God is found in the willingness to serve others in the most practical and humble ways.
