Our Patron

St. John de Britto, known as Arul Anandar, was a Portuguese Jesuit who became a ‘Pandaraswami’ (Indian ascetic) to preach the Gospel in the Tamil regions. He was martyred in Oriyur, becoming a bridge between Western faith and Indian culture.

• Community Spirit: Our Anbiyam in Muhaisnah II embodies the “Bridge-Building” spirit of Arul Anandar. We are a community that deeply respects the inculturation of our faith, celebrating the beauty of the Tamil language in our worship. We focus on intellectual and spiritual growth, often diving deep into the teachings of the Church during our gatherings. The community spirit here is one of “Cultural Sanctity.” We believe that our Tamil identity is a gift that enriches our Catholic faith. We support our members in integrating their cultural values with their spiritual lives, creating a space where everyone feels understood and spiritually nourished.
