Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
The Service: Leading the Tamil community in spirited worship, intercessory prayer, and spiritual renewal. This group focuses on the spiritual well-being of the SMTC members through consistent prayer and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The Charismatic Prayer Group and the Intercessory Prayer Group (IPG) form the spiritual powerhouse of the SMTC. Focused exclusively on the spiritual needs of our community, they gather to intercede for the intentions of our families, the sick, and the struggling. By creating an atmosphere of vibrant praise and deep contemplation, they ensure that the SMTC remains a community rooted in the power of prayer and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The IPG plays a critical “behind-the-scenes” role, offering consistent prayer cover for all community events, from the Annual Feast to individual family intentions. Their mission is to stand in the gap for those who cannot pray for themselves, providing a spiritual safety net for every member of our community. This ministry reminds us that before any work is done, it must first be covered in prayer.
Through their regular gatherings, the group fosters spiritual renewal and healing. They provide a space where parishioners can experience the transformative power of the Word of God and the comfort of communal worship. Their dedication ensures that the SMTC is not just a social organization, but a living, breathing body of Christ that thrives on constant communication with the Creator.
