The Service: Preparing and managing the projected content for the Holy Mass, including lyrics, scripture readings, and announcements. They ensure the congregation can follow the liturgy with ease.
The Visual Display Ministry enhances the participation of the SMTC by providing clear visual cues during our worship. By meticulously preparing slides for hymns and responses, they empower the community to pray and sing in unison. Their work is essential for multi-generational families, ensuring that everyone—from the youngest child to the oldest elder—can follow the flow of the Mass.
The team is also responsible for communicating important information to the community. From upcoming event dates to Parish-wide announcements, the visual display serves as a primary source of news for the SMTC members. This requires careful attention to detail to ensure that all information is accurate, timely, and easy to read from a distance.
Beyond the text, the ministry often incorporates sacred art and thematic backgrounds that match the liturgical season. This subtle addition enriches the prayer experience and helps the community enter more deeply into the mystery of the Mass. Their presence at the computer console is a service of focus and care, ensuring that the visual “vision” of our faith is made plain for all to see.
